Camden Camden American Legion Auxiliary Unit 413 will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Legion Home. Hostesses will be Janet Barnaby and Cindi Chapman. Volunteer firemen will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Fireman's Lounge. Camden-Jackson Township Public Library Board will meet at 7 p.m. April 9 in the library's Reading Room. United Methodist Women will meet at 7 p.m. April 10 in the home of Mary Trapp. Devotions will be given by Mary Trapp and the lesson by Marge Sieber. Bible verse will be from II Corinthians. Approximately 43 people attended Community Good Friday Service and 45 attended Community Easter Sunrise Service. The services are sponsored by Camden Council of Churches. Sunday was the kickoff for the 175th anniversary celebration of Camden First Baptist Church with 102 attending. Guest speakers were Dr. Larry Mason and Dr. Jim Walter. An afternoon program followed the noon meal. The library's "Winter into Spring" Reading Program has reached its midway point. The group recently had an afternoon get-together. Judie Peters presented a book review. The program runs through April 25 and there is still time to sign up. |
