McIlrath 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Doyal McIlrath, 1481 S. Michigan St., Burlington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house April 6 at the Burlington Community Building.

The event, hosted by their children and grandchildren, will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m.

McIlrath and the former Evelyn Taylor, were married April 4, 1958, at the Burlington Methodist Church by Rev. Carl E. Gilbreath.

He is a self-employed contractor, and she is retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. in Kokomo.

They have three children, Gerald McIlrath (wife: Pat) of Rossville, Carol Cornett (husband: Cary) of Monticello, and Craig Alan McIlrath, deceased. The couple has four grandchildren.

Besides the open house, the McIlraths also celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner.
