Evans is promoted to Eagle Scout

Shane Evans of Delphi was awarded the honorable rank of Eagle Scout during a recent Boy Scout Court of Honor with troop 155. Scoutmaster Kenneth Roswarski made the presentation.

Evans received his rank in December after meeting with the Eagle board of review. He worked numerous hours planning, managing and completing his project, which consisted of clearing a picnic area on the Happy Jack Trail for the Wabash & Erie Canal Association. Evans, along with other scouts, family and friends, constructed two picnic tables and fabricated a grill.

Evans continues to be active with his troop, assisting other scouts as they work to achieve the Eagle rank. He plans to attend college this fall to study biomedical engineering. He is the son of Shawn and Shannon Evans.
