Sledd
TIMOTHY SLEDD was sworn in as a Lawrence County Juvenile Court Referee Feb. 1 in Bedford. He will hear protective order, paternity, juvenile delinquency, juvenile status, child support and Child in Need of Services cases.

Sledd is a 1996 graduate of Delphi Community High School. He is the son of Clay and Marcia Sledd of Delphi. He and his wife Angela reside in Bedford with their two daughters, Ella and Lily.

Sledd, 30, graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington with a degree in criminal justice. He received his law degree after he graduated cum laude from IUPUI in 2003. He specializes in criminal defense as an attorney. He was a public defender for Lawrence County since 2005.

Regions Bank has promoted BECKY JOHNSON to Delphi Community Bank President. She serves as the Delphi Branch Manager.

A Carroll County native and 23- year bank veteran, Johnson completed banking coursework at Ivy Tech. She is a member of the Delphi Rotary Club, Tri Kappa and Faith Church of Christ in Burlington.

The bank has also hired BRAD FARRER as a comm ercial lender with the Delphi branch.

Farrer joined the Delphi team in January. A two-year banking industry veteran, Farrer is a Royal Center native and a Purdue University graduate with a degree in Agriculture Economics. He is an active volunteer with 4-H, Future Farmers of America and Relay for Life.

Mike Lowman of Kokomo is reopening the CAMDEN SPEEDWAY. The Speedway will be open Friday and Saturday nights during the regular season that begins May 9 and continues through Oct. 25.

Friday night's racing action will feature 600 micro sprints with the gates opening at 4 and racing starting at 8. Saturday night's action will feature kart racing, with gates opening at 4 p.m. and racing starting at 7.
