Announcements THE MODERN'S EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS CLUB will meet March 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Solomon's Grille in Delphi. Hostess will be Ruth Anderson. Delphi Tri Kappa will host a LADIES AND CHILDRENS STYLE SHOW April 13 at the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center on N. Washington Street. The style show will begin at 2:30 p.m. with ladies apparel by Grapevine Boutique. An admission fee will be charged. Tickets are available at the door. The event will include ladies' clothing booths where visitors can observe and purchase clothing before and after the show. A diamond ring will be raffled off with desserts after the show. DELPHI SPRING CLEANUP will be April 9 and 10 for the Thursday trash route and April 16 and 17 for the Friday route. Delphi Main Street and Delphi Preservation Society will hold a public meeting regarding the nomination of the DELPHI COURTHOUSE SQUARE DISTRICT to the NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC DISTRICTSApril 8 at 7 p.m. in the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge #28, 102 E. Main St. The event had been postponed twice due to inclement weather. DELPHI ART CLUB will meet April 3 at 6:30 p.m. at, Two Cookin' Sisters located on the northeast corner of SRs 18 and 43 at the light in Brookston, Parking is limited. The meeting will continue around 7 p.m. at the Brookston library. Host and hostesses will be Jim Mansfield, Dot Mansfield and Leola Widmer. DELPHI ART CLUB is invited to participate in the art show to be held at DCHS. Deadline to commit is April 1, with a limit of six pictures or six pieces of china. Delivery of pictures/ china will be April 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Set up will be April 25 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. The show will be open April 25 and 26. Members are asked to get their list of art work to Phyllis Porter by April 11. |
