Delphi Police Dept.

March 10, 10:49 p.m. - Intimidation, Carroll County Sheriffs Department. Report from a juvenile who was receiving threatening messages from another juvenile. Officer Chuck Kent responded.

March 13 - Hit and run, W. Main St. While at a signal light, Amanda S. Brandt, 51, Battle Ground was struck by a semi-tractor truck which rolled backward into her vehicle. The truck proceeded forward through the light after impact. Officer David Yeager responded.

March 13, 11 a.m. - Possession of alcohol and a firearm on school property, DCHS parking lot. Report of a rifle and alcoholic beverage in a student's unattended vehicle on school grounds. Both items were located and removed from the vehicle. During an interview with a suspect, the student indicated they had been target shooting the day before and neglected to remove the firearm from the vehicle. Rather than be late for the first period class, the student chose to cover the firearm with a jacket. In a security check of the parking lot, the firearm was discovered. There were no threats nor was the school placed on lockdown due to the incident. The case was forwarded to the prosecutors' office for review. Sgt. Brook McCain responded.

March 15, 2:06 a.m. - OWI, public intoxication, SR25 south of Trailhead Park. Alan Lovvorn, 27, Lafayette, was arrested for OWI. Joshua Lovvorn, 22, Lafayette, was arrested for public intoxication. Officer Chuck Kent responded.

March 15, 3:29 a.m. - Criminal mischief, N. Union St. Window of a vehicle owned by Jenny Swinford, 39, Delphi, was vandalized. Kent responded.

March 15, 5:12 a.m. - Criminal mischief, N. Washington St. Vehicle owned by Don Butcher, 52, Delphi, vandalized. Kent investigated.

March 15, 5:41 a.m. - Criminal mischief, N. Union St. Vehicle owned by Gienna Garcia, 39, Delphi vandalized. Kent investigated.

March 15, 12:05 p.m. - Criminal mischief, Charles St. Vehicle owned by Scott Delaney, 36, Delphi vandalized. Kent investigated. Sheriffs Dept. Criminal/non-criminal reports

March 8, 12 a.m. - Battery, 100 block of E. Fifth St., Burlington. Levi Dyer, 22, Burlington, was arrested. Deputy Zachary Hall responded.

March 9, 6:05 p.m. - Residential entry, 8800 block of N. CR225E. Report from the Burrows area. Hall responded.

March 9, 8:24 p.m. - Criminal information, 600 block of N. CR225E. Report of an incident near Camden. Hall responded.

March 9, 9:14 p.m. - Invasion of privacy, 5600 block of E. CR100N. Violation of a no-contact order reported. K-9 Deputy Tony Liggett responded.

March 9, 9:15 p.m. - Reckless driving, 0 block N. Burrows. Twocar crash on SR25 investigated. Hall responded.

March 11, 12:45 p.m. - Harassment, 3400 block of W. SR218. Telephone harassment reported in Deer Creek Township, Leazenby responded.

March 13, 12:07 a.m. - Harassment, 100 block of W. Fifth St. Nicholas Johnson, Burlington, reported. Situation resolved. Sgt. Mark Back responded.

Property damage reports

Feb. 12, 3:11 p.m. - SR39 near CR150W. Estevan M. Montoya, 18, Flora, and Douglas R. Stewart, 50, Camden. Montoya was cited for a misdemeanor and an infraction. Both drivers and a passenger in the Montoya vehicle, Beatriceil Ledezma, 19, Flora were treated at the scene by EMS. Ledezma and Stewart were transported to a local hospital where Ledezma, who was later identified as Francisca Martinex, died. K-9 Deputy Mike Thomas responded.

March 7, 1 p.m. - CR500N near CR200W. Krista L. Bergdorff, 24, Flora. Sheriff Tony Burns responded.

March 8, 11:30 a.m. - 1304N US421. Jennifer J. Beale, 52, Delphi, and a vehicle registered to Tonya S. Matthews, Delphi. Thomas responded.

March 11, 9:19 a.m. - SR25 near CR132N. Michael J. Yates, 27, Flora, was transported to a local hospital by EMS. Thomas responded.
