Roberta J. Quinn

Roberta J. Shafer Quinn, 83, of West Lafayette, passed away March 9, 2008, at 7:04 p.m. at George Davis Manor in West Lafayette.

She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Carroll County, to the J. Lloyd and Grace Burton Shaffer. She graduated from Delphi High School in 1942.

Her marriage was to William R. "Bill" Quinn in Delphi on March 24, 1946, and he survives. They were Delphi residents for many years before moving to West Lafayette.

Mrs. Quinn was a bookkeeper for Delphi Body Works and Select Seed Hybrids of Camden.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delphi and enjoyed sewing, hiking, and bicycle riding.

Surviving are her husband in West Lafayette; two sons, Joseph Quinn (wife: Nancy) of West Lafayette and David M. Quinn of Costa Mesa, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Mindy and Zachary Quinn, both of West Lafayette.

Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

A graveside service will be held March 20 at the Masonic Cemetery in Delphi, and will be officiated by the Rev. Bill McLean.

Memorial contributions may be made to Almost Home Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
