Vera L. Measels

Vera L. Measels, 92, a resident of Delphi for more than 65 years, died March 5, 2008, at 10:06 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.

She was born July 12, 1915, at Lake Cicott to John Walter and Myrtle Emma Mussall Spencer. She married Lester Finley "Fin" Measels in Monticello on Sept. 24, 1938.

Mrs. Measels was a homemaker. She was a member of Lake Cicott United Methodist Church.

Surviving are: her husband in Delphi; three sisters, Freda Turner of Kentucky, Vada Hancock of Kokomo and Geneva Boyer of Logansport; three grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and four greatgreat grandchildren.

Mrs. Measels was preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Hall, four brothers and two sisters.

Services were March 8 at Davidson Funeral Home in Delphi, and were officiated by Pastor Nord Zootman. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens in Pittsburg.
