Flora egg hunt is Saturday

An Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Flora at the park at 1 p.m. Saturday.

There will be three age groups - 2 and 3; 4, 5, and 6; and 7, 8, and 9 - and the Easter bunny will be present and available for pictures.

All children will receive candyfilled eggs, a chocolate bunny, a soft drink or juice box, a chance to win one of 30 large prizes, and an entry into a drawing for one of six bicycles and tricycles.

Due to the early arrival of Easter, and the unpredictability of the weather, this year's hunt has an inclement weather date of March 22. The event will be postponed from March 15 to the 22nd if it is raining, the ground is snow covered, or the temperature is below 35 degrees. On the 22nd, if the weather is still unsuitable, an Easter party will be held in the 4-H Community Building.

Event sponsor is Flora Community Club's KICK team with generous donations of merchandise and money from local businesses. Carroll sixth grade is helping with the hunt by stuffing 3,500 eggs with candy.
