TLHS to present spring musical
Comet staff report

The Twin Lakes High School Theatre and Music departments will present the musical, "West Side Story," this weekend. Performances will be held in the TLHS auditorium on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

"West Side Story" has all the elements that make a successful musical: a timeless love story of a young boy and girl; a strong message against racial intolerance and hatred; comedy in the form of teenaged boys being teenaged boys.

"This is a show we've always wanted to do at Twin Lakes, but never could," said Susan Willbanks, director. "We needed several critical factors to occur simultaneously: strong leads who can act and sing extremely challenging roles; a solid group of guys who can bring the Jets and Sharks to life; production staff who can transport us back to 1950s New York, and finally, musicians who can handle the most difficult music we've ever attempted. We have all of that his year and we can hardly believe our luck!"

Tickets may be purchased in advance for reserved seating from DiAnn Adams in the TLHS guidance office at 574- 583-7108, ext. 2326.
