DCHS 'Made' update
By Jenna Buehler Comet staff intern
February 26 was a big day for Delphi Community High School students who tried out for MTV's Daytime Emmy Award winning television series "Made." Open casting interviews for the series were held in the gymnasium with MTV casting associate Victoria Marfan.

Interviews began at 2 p.m. and ended at approximately 6:30 p.m. An estimated 47 "Made" candidates from DCHS lined the gymnasium bleachers in anticipation for an interview.

Senior Natalie Garrison updated the Comet about the interview experience.

"She (Marfan) asked me basic things," Garrison said. "She asked me about how high school has been, what activities I do outside of school, what I enjoy, where I live and with whom and if I have a boyfriend or a crush. Then she asked me how 'Made' would change my life."

"I said it would really change my life. I'd be on television," she concluded. "'Made' would change my life by allowing me to achieve my dream of being a hip/hop ballerina."

Contestants will learn in the coming weeks if they were selected. Comet telephone calls to the producer to determine the exact selection date went unanswered.
