Leadership Carroll County Class of 2008
Leadership Carroll County (LCC) has graduated its third class, raising the number of graduates to 85 total. The six-week, in-depth course, funded through generous donations from businesses and organizations from throughout the county, emphasized a collaborative leadership model, as well as information about the county and current issues. The six sessions rotated to different communities in the county and LCC task force members helped facilitate and lead the sessions. Several community members were brought in to discuss their positions and/or roles in various governmental entities, businesses and organizations. The graduation ceremony was held at the conclusion of the Feb. 27 session at the Wabash & Erie Canal Center in Delphi. The program will not be offered again until next year, but in the meantime, continuing leadership development opportunities will be offered to LCC graduates. The 2008 class will sponsor a meal during the Carroll County 4-H Fair in July, with assistance from previous classes.
