Announcements CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN will hold their annual Membership Brunch on March 15 at 10:30 a.m. in the Flora Senior Center, 115 North Division Street. Jennifer Ping, vice president of the Indiana Federation of Republican Women, will be guest speaker. Members are encouraged to invite prospective members. Any Carroll County woman interested in joining the club and furthering Republican efforts in Carroll County is welcome to attend. Contact Tammy Dyer, president, at 765-566-3917 for cost information and to RSVP. CUTLER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH will have a carry-in dinner after Palm Sunday worship on March 16. Drinks and table service will be furnished. Communion will be served to shut-ins in the afternoon. Friends and the community are welcome to come to the dinner and meet the church's two lay pastors, Jeff Brown and Ann Bingaman and their families. HICKORY GROVE CHURCH announces its Easter services and events as follows: Maundy Thursday service, March 20, 7 p.m.; Easter egg hunt, March 22, 2 p.m.; Easter "Sonrise" and breakfast, 7 a.m.; and Easter worship service, 10 a.m. A MEDIEVAL PROGRAM, complete with a combat demonstration by knights in shining armor and dancing by lords and ladies, will take place March 15 at 1 p.m. at the Burlington Church of Christ. It will be presented by the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). Those attending also will learn what it takes to be a true knight or lady. There is no charge to attend and all are welcome. The program is being hosted by the Burlington Church of Christ, Burlington First Brethren Church, Knight Errant Ministries, and the SCA Barony of Rivenstar (Lafayette and Purdue University). Delphi First Presbyterian Church will host its SENIOR CITIZENS' MONTHLY LUNCHEONMarch 19 at noon in the church Fellowship Hall. An elevator is available for those in need. Delphi Odd Fellows will hold a CEMETERY CLEAN-UP March 22 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Old Odd Fellows Cemetery on Carrollton Rd. (CR700W.). The local Boy Scouts will assist with clean-up including picking up sticks and straightening headstones. Community members are also invited to help. Snacks will be served at noon. FRIENDS OF CARROLL COUNTY PARKS will hold a WORK DAYMarch 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Deer Creek Park. The group will work to prepare the grounds for an upcoming Eel River Tribe drumming event. FLORA TOWN COUNCIL will meet at 5:30 p.m. March 12 to discuss the airport environmental report and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, as well as the water rate study. The TOURISM COMMITTEE of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce will meet March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wabash & Erie Canal Conference Center, Delphi. The focus of the meeting will be a roundtable discussion about a Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) for Carroll County and how tourism can serve as an important element for promoting economic development. On hand to answer questions will be Brenda Myers, executive director of the Hamilton County CVB, and Betsy Jones, newly appointed tourism economic development director of the Hamilton County CVB.
