G. Elizabeth Jackson

G. Elizabeth Jackson, 95, of Collinsville, Ill., died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

Born May 2, 1912, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Carl E. and Eleanora McQuerter, Fenton. She was married June 2, 1937, to Andrew H. Jackson Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1999. They were married 62 years.

Surviving are a son, Andrew H. Jackson Jr. (wife: Karen) of Belleville, Ill.; a daughter, Birdie L. Minglin (husband: Calvin) of Flora; a sister, Mary Walker; five grandchildren, Jennifer Hynes (husband: Robert), Melanie Reelitz, Valerie Hughes, Clinton W. Minglin (wife: Kurtina) and Dennis Jackson (wife: Sue); nine great-grandchildren, Kayla Minglin, Kendra Minglin, Zoe Hynes, Laura Sue Jackson, Robert Hughes, Alan Hughes, Derek Jackson, Dylan Troy Jackson, and Andrew Darus Jackson; six great-great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Buddie L. Jackson; three grandsons, Dallas Troy Jackson, Darus Eugene Jackson, and Kevin C. Minglin; her parents; two brothers, James Phillip Fenton and Carl Edwin Fenton Jr.; a sister, Annie Carline Fenton; and a brother-in-law, Audrey Walker. . Funeral services were held Saturday at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
