Margaret L. Witter

Margaret Louise Witter, 90, formerly of Carrollton Township and Flora, died at 9:48 a.m. Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Milner Community Health Care Center, Rossville. She had resided there for three years.

Born June 7, 1917, at Kokomo, she was the daughter of Charles William and Agnes Charity Warfield Hicks. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1936. On June 23, 1940, in Burlington, she married Max B. Witter, who died Jan. 6, 2007.

Mrs. Witter was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and music.

She was a member of the Flora Untied Methodist Church and a member of the church's women's fellowship.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen Sue Garrison of Flora, and a grandson, Eric Howell of Delphi.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Henson, Willard and Lawrence Hicks.

Services were held Tuesday at the Flora United Methodist Church. Pastor Larry DeVos officiated. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
