Egg Hunt set in Flora

Flora's annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held March 15 at 1 p.m. at Flora Community Park.

Every child in attendance will receive candy-filled eggs, a chocolate bunny, a soft drink or juice box, a chance to win one of 30 large prizes, and an entry into a drawing for one of six bicycles and tricycles.

Age groups are 2 and 3; 4, 5, and 6; and 7, 8, and 9.

The Easter bunny will be present and available for pictures.

Due to the early arrival of Easter, and the unpredictability of the weather, this year's hunt has an inclement weather date of March 22. The event will be postponed from March 15 to the 22nd if it is raining, the ground is snow covered, or the temperature is below 35 degrees. On the 22nd, if the weather is still unsuitable, an Easter party will be held in the 4-H Community Building.

Flora Community Club's KICK team is sponsoring the annual event with generous donations of merchandise and money from local businesses. Carroll sixth grade is helping with the hunt by stuffing 3,500 eggs with candy.
