'High School Musical' to be presented at Carroll

Carroll Drama Club will present the stage version of the popular Disney movie, "High School Musical," as its winter production.

The musical is jammed packed with familiar songs such as "We're All In This Together" and "Get'cha Head In The Game," plus a few new ones just for the stage like "Cellular Fusion."

There will be dancing, too, by Troy (Seth Pencek), Gabriella (Kaitlin Kennedy), Sharpay (Anna Scharer), Ryan (Nick Jones), Chad (Kevin Eikenberry), Taylor (Cally Ayres), Kelsi (Angel Jackson), plus a new character, Jack Scott (Jake Walker) - all mixing it up, trying to make all their dreams come true.

The production is receiving some extra help from Carroll vice principal, Fred Schnarr, who is playing the part of Coach Bolton.

The cast gave a preview of the musical between the Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games against Delphi last month.

Show times are Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m. Tickets are on sale at the Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School Book Store for $5 each. Tickets purchased at the door will be $7. Contact any cast member to aid in purchasing advance tickets.
