Announces candidacy
"I truly believe most Hoosiers of this District, Republican or Democrat, agree on most crucial issues," Puckett said "Whether it's keeping as much cash as possible in the pockets of taxpayers during these tough economic times, using common sense free-market ideals to lower the cost of health insurance, or keeping our homeland safe and secure, everyday Hoosiers know what direction they want to head. Unfortunately, their Democratic Congressional leadership, both here and in Washington, are not listening to the voices of those of us here in the district." Puckett further explained, "That's why I'm running for Congress. I am the common man. My family and I have to do the same belt tightening families across this district have to do in these tough economic times, and I feel Washington should be forced to do the same."
Puckett and his wife of 19 years, Mary Beth, have three children, Victoria, Brandon, and Annalisa. He owns a small startup company called Monster Pontoon Inc. in Goshen, though he resides in the 2nd District. He also has done international mission work and micro finance project management in South America and Africa.
