Singer songwriter Scott Greeson will perform at the Coffee Beat March 8 at 7 p.m. Greeson's music is best described as poetic snapshots of folks living in America's heartland. His lyrics paint the picture of real, hard-working people whom he encounters in everyday life. Greeson's music blends folk, traditional, bluegrass, alternative country, and acoustic blues. The coffee and music are free. Desserts are available for a nominal fee.

Film and World War II history buffs won't want to miss the March 20 Cinema Night. "Children of Channes" is a magical World War II tale of resilience and love. The story is how a tiny village in unoccupied France chose to save 400 Jewish refugee children. The movie starts at 7 p.m. with refreshments and discussion to follow.

Morning Book Club will meet March 21 to discuss "March" the novel by Geraldine Brooks. The book review, given by Margaret Marchand, begins at 9 a.m. Several copies of the book are available for check out at the library.

Flora-Monroe Township

The library is offering a new program, Get Fit, Flora!, for anyone who needs a little help losing weight and getting healthy. It will follow the guidelines of the state program, InShape Indiana, and will run for 10 weeks.

The call-out meeting will be March 13 at 7:15 p.m.

Each week, participants will record their weight, learn ways to achieve their goals, and give each other support.

The program is free and open to all.

The next storytime will be a bit o'green with the St. Patrick's Day theme. Everyone gets to have the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day. Leprechauns, rainbows, wearin' of the green, and of course a lil' blarney! Storytime is Tuesday morning at10 a.m.
