Department of Child Services open house
The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) had a ribbon cutting and open house at its newly renovated Carroll County office last Thursday. The current director of Carroll and Clinton counties, Jan Mullen, and three former Carroll County directors are pictured above, l-r - Mullen, serving from 2005 to the present; Barb Bedrick, 2003-2005; Carole Miller, 1986- 1995; and Gil Smith, 1997-2002. Bedrick is now director in White County, Smith is regional manager, and Miller is retired. The remodeling separates the Department of Child Services from the Division of Family Resources, both of which used to be in the same building. Some of the other renovations are a new visitation room, remodeled reception area, two new offices, and a security system. The staff gave tours and explained services. Also on hand was James W.
