Burton files for county recorder
Mary Ann Burton has filed as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for Carroll County Recorder.

Burton is a resident of rural Camden where she lives with her husband, Bob. He is employed with The Anderson's Cob Mill in Delphi. They have two adult sons, Marc and Matthew.

Burton was the previous owner of Fashion Coiffeurs in Delphi. She ran the business for 10 years. She has been employed in county government for 12 years.

She is also a member of the Carroll County Historical Society.

"Because my children are grown, I feel that now is the time in my life when I can run for office," said Burton. "I feel that my experience in county government qualifies me for the position and I look forward to the opportunity of serving the residents of Carroll County."
