Snipes is candidate for county surveyor
Dale Snipes has filed as a Democratic candidate for Carroll County surveyor.

Snipes has 14 years experience as a field technician for civil engineering and land surveying firms.

"My extensive surveying and mapping experience, and my familiarity with Carroll County geography and agriculture give me confidence that I can be a real asset to taxpayers serving as Carroll County surveyor," said Snipes.

A lifelong county resident, Snipes graduated from Delphi Community High School. He resides near Flora with his wife, Vicky, who is employed as the safety director at Logansport Memorial Hospital. They have three children, all graduates of Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School.

Snipes is a member of the Flora Presbyterian Church where he is active in the chancel and bell choirs. He is 4-H photography project leader and has served on the County Extension Board and Carroll County Old Settlers Association.

He is currently completing the 2008 Leadership Carroll County program.
