DCMS swimmers split meets

Delphi Community Middle School swim teams opened their season against Maconaquah. The Braves defeated the Oracle Ateam 117-69, and defeated the Oracle B-team 95-72.

Annie Mose won the 400 freestyle and 100 backstroke for the A-team. First place for the B-team went to the 200 medley relay team of Kayleigh Green, Brooke Beale, Mariah McCauslin and Kendall Baker; Kale Frost in diving; Baker in the 100 freestyle; and Green in the 50 backstroke.

The Delphi teams faired better against Northridge (North Montgomery) as the A-team won 107-79 and the B team won 93-67. First place for the A-team included: Taylor Thompson, 220 freestyle; Brandon Wilson, 50 and 100 freestyle; Jacob Chapman, diving; Mose, 400 freestyle, 100 backstroke; and the 200 freestyle relay team of Wilson, Jeremie Kauffman, Shelbey Disinger and Thompson and the 400 freestyle relay team of Emily Layman, Thompson, Zack Thomas and Mose.

First places for the B-team went to: 200 medley relay team of Green, Beale, McCauslin and Baker; McCauslin, 100 IM; Trevor Peters, diving; Baker, 100 free; Green, 50 backstroke; Beale, 50 breaststroke; 200 freestyle relay team of Peters, Kevin Matracia, Elliot Murphy and Taylor Brown; and the 400 freestyle relay team of Baker, Chapman, Austin Coker and McCauslin.
