Cancer Association offers scholarships

Carroll County Cancer Association is offering scholarships to high school seniors and graduates enrolled in health-related classes for the fall 2008 school year. Scholarships will be awarded to students who are pursuing a degree in the health field.

Scholarship Committee chairman Marcia Sledd said the association "wanted to encourage the education of young people from Carroll County interested in earning a degree in a medical-related course of study."

High school seniors may pick up a scholarship application from their school's guidance department. Graduates enrolled in the curriculum may send a letter of their intent to continue in the field along with a transcript of their fall semester grades from 2007.

Applications should be sent to: Marcia Sledd, Chairman of CCCA Scholarship Committee, 204 W. Summit St., Delphi, IN 46923. Applications must be postmarked by March 31.
