Hickory Grove sends mission team to Haiti
Comet staff report

Eight members of a Hickory Grove Church mission team returned home on Feb. 5 from an eight-day trip to Cazale, Haiti. Cazale is located in a mountain village north of Port 'O Prince.

While there they assisted missionary Davis Zachary and his family. They worked in the medical clinic that had been emptied for remodeling by constructing desks, painting, cleaning, restoring patient files and adding a connecting roof. They also conducted a Bible School and spent time holding children.

The mission operates a medical clinic that sees about 1,000 patients in three days and a rescue center for up to 60 children that otherwise would die.

"The team's lives have been forever changed by this unique experience," said Pastor Ken Smith. "If you would like to learn more or have one of the team members come to your church or organization to share with you, call me at the church office at 574-965-2731."
