Kenneth S. Gascho Kenneth S. Gascho, 86, of Pyrmont, died at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette. Born July 9, 1921, in Clinton County, he was the son of John Henry and Amy Eller Gascho. He graduated from Rossville High School in 1940. On Jan. 29, 1950, he married Elizabeth Marie Montgomery, who preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 1984. On Dec. 27, 1997, he married Alice Grassmyer Miller and she survives. Mr. Gascho was a farmer. He had previously worked as a substitute mail carrier, ran a bulk milk route, and worked for Fairfield and in the ag department at Purdue University. He was a member of the Northfork Old German Baptist Church. He enjoyed refereeing basketball games, fishing and gardening. Surviving with his wife are a son, Randy Gascho of Frankfort; Cheryl Gascho of Rossville; four stepsons, Dennis Miller of Delphi, Gary Miller and Donald Miller, both of Florida, and Andrew Miller of Lafayette; two stepdaughters, Karen Rothrock of Terre Haute and Betty Hatfield of Lafayette; a sister, Phyllis Meador of Rossville; a brother, Edwin Gascho of Rossville; three grandchildren, Amy, Shana and Nathan; 15 stepgrandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Wagoner. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Northfork Old German Baptist Church. Home brethren will officiate. Burial will be at Middlefork Old German Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the Northfork Old German Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Rossville or Carroll County Food Pantries. Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, is in charge of arrangements.
