Mary I. Kilmer

Mary I. Kilmer, 92, of Monticello, died Feb. 10, 2008, in Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare.

She was born Feb. 28, 1915, in Carroll County, to Carl and Leam Heiny Mertz. She married Frank Wigner in 1933, and he preceded her in death. She then married Wilbur Kilmer, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kilmer was a telephone operator at Yeoman Telephone Company for several years.

She was the oldest member of Oak Grove Christian Church of rural Carroll County.

Surviving are a son, Dwain Wigner (wife: Anne) of Monticello; a daughter, Phyllis Goble-Kruger (husband: Devon) of Francesville; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.

Services were Feb. 12 in Monticello. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello.
