Business Briefs

PIZZA KING in Flora will have its GRAND RE-OPENING Feb. 14 through the 17.

The event celebrates its move from East Columbia Street to 29 South Center Street.

Tom Stigers is owner of the business, and his fiancé, Peggy Gangwer, is in charge of hiring and scheduling.

They said the new location offers more seating - enough for 112 people - and more room for families and groups.

They added that there is also more room for parking since customers can park in the town parking lot and enter through the back door if they wish.

The restaurant kept its same nostalgic Coca-cola décor, but the atmosphere is more relaxed and quiet, Gangwer said.

There's also a banquet room for 40 guests. Gangwer said the room can be rented for parties, family gatherings, and meetings.

Beginning Thursday, the eatery is offering three new menu items - barbecue chicken pizza, chicken bacon ranch pizza, and dessert pizza.

Local merchants have donated gift certificates for door prizes during the grand re-opening. The drawing will be held on Sunday.

The restaurant is starting new Sunday hours. It will open at 11 a.m. on Sundays and close at 10 p.m.

Stigers has had the Pizza King in Flora for 19 years. He currently has nine employees.
