Area wrestlers fare well in area competitions

Watson

Three Team Delphi wrestlers competed in the Merrillville Pirate Wrestling Tournament last weekend. The wrestlers, their weight class and their placement in the competition follow: Tyron Watson, Midget 55 lbs., 4th place; Dylan Hart, Midget 80 lbs., 3rd place; and Tanner Watson, Novice 120 lbs., 2nd place.

In the Bronco Showdown held the weekend of Jan. 19- 20, Watson and Hart brought home gold. Hart placed first in the midget 80-pound weight class. Watson took highest honors in the midget 55-pound weight class.
