Robert Rodkey

Robert "Bob" Rodkey, 85, of Louisville, Ky., died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2008, in his home.

He retired from Texas Gas Transmission.

Mr. Rodkey was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Middletown, Ky., VFW and a 50-year member of the Burlington Masonic Lodge #111 F&AM.

His marriage was on Feb. 28, 1941, to Josephine Meek, who preceded him in death on July 28, 1998.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Fante (husband: Michael) of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren, Christopher Fante and Tiffany Fante, both of Louisville; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Fante of Louisville; and a daughter-inlaw, Julia Rodkey of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Rodkey.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Neptune Funeral Home, 44 Michigan St., Burlington. Calling will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. before the service. Burial will be at Mound Cemetery, Howard County.
