Oracle wrestlers look to sectional
Alderman ties school record

The DCHS wrestling team ended its dual season last week by defeating Lewis Cass 64-6.

The Oracles ended regular season 22-9 heading into the sectionals at Lafayette Jeff on Saturday. Eight of the nine losses were to ranked teams and all but two were by less than a ten-point deficit.

Winning for the Oracles were Randy McIlrath, Bob Floyd, Donovan Alderman, Aaron Back, Nathan Mc- Tigue, Cory Smith, Hayden Peterson, Tyler Cooper, Braden Atwood, Shane Evans, Daniel Clawson, and Wesley Everett.

Top records heading into the sectional are: Donovan Alderman, who still remains undefeated at 35-0. He has tied Mike Dubes with the most wins by a Delphi wrestler in his career with 135. He also broke his own record of takedowns in a season with 111.

Braden Atwood is 37-1 on the season and Bob Floyd is 35-4.
