George 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dean George of 4253W. SR218, Delphi, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Jan. 24. A family celebration was held last summer in July when family members were visiting home.

George and the former Nancy Jane Bush were married Jan. 24, 1958, by the Rev. Richard Recher at Christ Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.

He is a retired heavy equipment operator. She is a retired bank teller.

The couple has four children: Edward George (wife: Marie) of San Antonio, Texas; David George (wife: Cheryl) of Valdosta, Ga.; Alan George (wife: Lori) of Delphi; and Brenda Weaver (husband: Darrell) of Monticello. They have eight grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and two stepgreat grandchildren.
