Local company & employees share profits with military families and those in need
Comet staff report

Alloy Custom Products and its employees raised and donated more than $14,000 to provide assistance to military family members or recently returned veterans in the local community. The donation was the result of voluntary contributions from employees from their profit sharing checks, along with matching funds from the company.

With the assistance of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, area military families in need of assistance were located. Substantial gift cards were issued to these families as a token of appreciation for their courage and daily sacrifice.

In addition, the group made cash donations from the fund to the USO, Fisher House, and various food pantries in the surrounding counties. The company also purchased and donated 350 120-minute phone cards for the Military Phone Card Program, sponsored by the Indiana Secretary of State.
