DELPHI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ANNUAL BANQUET will be Jan. 28 at the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center. Meet and Greet will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a buffet to follow at 7. Speakers will include mayor Randy Strasser with a State of the City address, Dan Schultz, Joe Mayfield and a member of the county council. The chamber will present a review of last year, plans for 2008 and three awards. A cost is associated with the event. Carroll County Senior & Family Services will provide

FREE TAX PREPARATION for low-to-middle income individuals with special attention to people age 60 and older each Tuesday beginning Feb. 5 to April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1001 S. Washington St., Delphi. Tax preparation will be done by AARP representatives, supported by the Internal Revenue Service.
