Library News Flora-Monroe Township It's a new year, which means time to get rid of the older periodicals to make room for the new publications. The library has many of your favorite magazines available free on the main level of the library. This is first come first served so come early for the best selection. GED (General Educational Development) preparation classes are now being offered in the library. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. Attend a session to register. The library has a wide assortment of books that covers all those New Year's resolutions that you have made. Books on fitness, yoga, strength training, weight loss, exercise, diets, health and well being, getting organized, personal finance, computer learning and more are available for check out to make it easy for you to achieve your goals. Pooh Day (Jan. 18), which commemorates the birth of Winnie the Pooh author A.A. Milne, will be celebrated at the next storytime. Stories filled with Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eeyore and of course that lovable bear, Pooh, will be featured with songs and fun. Storytime begins next Tuesday, Jan. 8 at10 a.m. The library's Dial-a-Story is open 24 hours a day. The current story playing is "The Price Is High." The story beginning Friday will be "Favorites by Field." Call 967-3814. |
