Ivy Tech to host ag seminar series Ivy Tech Community College will be hosting a series of farming and agri-business seminars taught by area business experts beginning Jan. 29 and continuing every Tuesday through Feb. 26. Topics will include farm estate planning, understanding the farmer's balance sheet, rising farmland values and lease agreements, trucking rules and regulations for farmers, and buying and selling to ethanol plants. Presenters will include Rochester attorney, Ted Waggoner; senior commercial and ag lender for First Farmer's Bank and Trust in Kokomo, Cary Mawbey; president of Halderman Farm Management and Real Estate, Howard Halderman; Indiana State Police Master Trooper, Randy Pryor; and senior buyer for The Andersons, Inc., Jim Cripe.
