Carroll FFA is represented at FIRE conference

Three Carroll FFA members attended the Foundations In Reaching Excellence (FIRE) conference held recently at the Indiana FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar. While at the conference, Attending from CHS were Emily Fritz, Chandler Keown and Travis Martin.

The conference, geared toward FFA eleventh and twelfth graders, focused on objectives set by the Indiana FFA. These objectives included:

• Create a 10-year personal vision plan

• Explore career possibilities and requirements in education, experience, and skills

• Choose two character traits and enhance understanding

• Identify mentors and accountability partners

• Identify effective time management skills and management systems

• Identify and learn how to use an emotional support system and mentor.

These objectives, facilitated by the Indiana FFA State Officer Team, are intended to acclimate students to new and broader horizons with the Indiana FFA Organization. Also included in this conference were themes of patriotism, free and organized recreation time, and an awards banquet for all attending FFA members.
