Emerson "Smitty" Smith, 74, of Logansport, died Dec. 22, 2008, in Indianapolis. Born Nov. 28, 1934, in Flora, he was the son of William Donald and Maddie Mae Story Smith. He was retired from Elco Industries. Among the survivors are a brother, Glen Smith (wife: Ruby) and sister, Betty Moore (husband: Bruce), both of Delphi. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
