Second grade students at Carroll Elementary spent an afternoon last week bringing joy to others. The students went door-to-door at the Flora senior citizens apartments, giving paper wreaths and singing Christmas carols. They sang their way through downtown as they headed to the post office and the Food Pantry. The students sent thank you notes to Santa (for all he does) and donated 201 food items to the Food Pantry. The Flora Library treated the children with two Christmas stories. Once back at the school, the students were warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate. Comet photo by Jennifer Archibald
