It's Christmas Eve! By now, I hope you've settled into a wonderful day with presents wrapped, the tree lit and families near. To help whet the whistle, this week I'm featuring some awesome holiday beverages. Chocolate Whip is a great treat for both kids and adults. Holiday Punch is colorful and refreshing. And, Easy Egg Nog takes seconds to make!
Holiday Chocolate Whip
4 oz. chocolate milk 2 oz. cold coffee Whipped cream Shaved chocolateFill a tall glass with ice. Add chocolate milk and coffee. Top with whipped cream and garnish with shaved chocolate. For the adults, add an ounce of Bailey's Irish Cream if desired. Holiday Punch 2 48-oz. cans pineapple juice 1 40-oz. bottle cranberry juice 2 750 ml. bottles soda water 1 qt. strawberry, raspberry or lime sherbet
In a punch bowl, mix juices. Pour in soda water and top with scoops of sherbet. Makes about 16 cups.
Easy Egg Nog 2 eggs, beaten well 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg, ground 2 1/3 cups milkBlend all ingredients together and serve chilled. *Please note: you may prefer to use pasteurized eggs to avoid any risk of food poisoning.
