The Indiana Association of Area Agencies on Aging reminds older adults and persons with disabilities that there are less than 30 days left to sign up for the Medicare Part D prescription drug program and find out if they are eligible for extra help to assist in paying premiums for the program.

The last day to sign up for or change a plan is Dec. 31.

Individuals who require assistance in signing up for a plan can also call their local Area Agency on Aging at 1- 800-986-3505 to schedule a confidential appointment with a counselor to help them investigate the best plan for their individual needs.
