Winners of the Indiana Farm Bureau Young Farmer Achievement Award was announced at IFB's annual convention held in Evansville on Dec 4-6. They are Dan and Melissa Culp of Jasper County, who will represent Indiana at the American Farm Bureau Federation annual convention in San Antonio in January.

Mark and Kathy Justice of Carroll County were finalists for the award. The Justices grow waxy corn, high extractable starch corn and soybeans on their farm and run a test plot. They live near Delphi with their two daughters, Morgan, age 4, and Emily, age 1.

The Justices received $1,000 from Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance for being finalists.

The Young Farmer Achievement Award recognizes young farmers whose farm management techniques and commitment to their communities set a positive example for those involved in production agriculture.
