Scouts depicted a scene of children listening by firelight to the story, "The Night Before Christmas." Boy and Cub scouts decorated the float the week before at the home of Mike and Jonella Beale. Former Tri-Township Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Bill Schock was awarded first place for his Christmas decorated red 1926 Model-T Ford Fire Truck. First Presbyterian Church of Delphi won "Best Float Following Theme" for its float featuring Pastor Bill McLean reading the Christmas story from the Bible to a group of listening church members.
