Oracle swimmers split meets

The Lady Oracles swim team lost to Lewis Cass 104-79. And then defeated Maconaquah 98-82.

Against Cass, Haley Richardson won diving with a score of 154.40. Also winning was the 200 freestyle relay team of Grace Currie, Jordan Hudelson, Emily Layman and Erika Matricia.

Against Maconaquah, Monica Hutsell was a double winner, taking the 200 and 500 freestyle events. Richardson won diving, Brianna Walters took first in the 100 butterfly, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Currie, Hudelson, Layman and Matricia won.

Carroll JVs split with Delphi

Carroll's girls and boys junior varsity basketball teams faced off against Delphi last week at DCHS. The Lady Cougars lost, but Carroll's boys won 43-26.

The Cougars led at all stops 6-5 after one, 15-7 at half-time, and 25-15 after three. The Cougars outscored the Oracles 18- 11 in the final period to claim the victory.

Riley Johnson led all scorers with 12 points. Tim Ruby and Chad Griffin had 7 points each and Seth Johnson added 6 points.
