Ervin F. Reinke, 91, of Galveston, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Northwoods Village in Kokomo.

He was

born June 13, 1917, in Washington Township, Cass County, to John and Elsie Ervin Reinke. He graduated from Washington Township School in Cass County in 1935. His marriage was on June 29, 1941, at the Sharon Baptist Church to Margaret Harmon, who survives.

Ervin drove a bulk truck for Tenbrook Sales from 1956 to 1980.

He was a member of the Upper Deer Creek Church where he served as a former superintendent and Sunday School teacher and had sung in the choir.

He was a 50-year member of the Galveston Masonic Lodge and a 50-year member of the Galveston Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a 50-year member of the Knights of Kokomo Chapter Council & Commandry.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Margaret Reinke of Galveston; two sons, Jerry L. Reinke (wife: Phyllis) of Flora and Edward J. Reinke (wife: Tori) of Glencoe, Ky.; four grandchildren, Jerry D. Reinke (wife: Cindy), Sherrin LeBeau (husband: Kent), Wilson Reinke and Graham Reinke; five great-grandchildren, Abby, Hannah and Ethan Reinke and Jessie and Kristie LeBeau.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Reinke.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Upper Deer Creek Church with visitation there Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Joe Coffin and John Rhodes will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Flora.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Upper Deer Creek Church.

Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, is in charge of arrangements.
