Carroll 8th grade boys basketball team won the Carroll Classic on Nov. 22. In the first game, the Cougars defeated Lewis Cass 31-22. Leading scorers for Carroll were Eric Miller with 14 points and Jacob Bush with 8. In the championship game, Carroll defeated Twin Lakes 48-29. Miller led the way for the Cougars with 19 points. Bush added 14.

Carroll's A team has compiled a 5-0 record, also defeating Winamac, Western, and North White. The B-team is undefeated at 2-0 with wins over Winamac and Western. Leading scorers have been Jay Hodson, Trevor Ayres and Neil Benson.

Both teams play next at Clinton Prairie on Dec. 1.
