Carroll County Cares About Kids toy drive will begin Saturday and continue until Christmas.

Sponsored by Beta Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi sorority, the annual drive collects toys and other gift items for children in the county who might not otherwise receive gifts for Christmas.

Toys and gifts should be new or in like new condition. Ideas include baby blankets, bottles, toys for various ages, puzzles, books, T-shirts for teenagers, purses, cologne, perfume, billfolds, make-up, bath and body sets, shaving kits, razors, and games that can be used for families. Monetary donations are also welcome and are used to purchase additional items.

Gift drop-off locations are the Utilities Office, Salin Bank & Trust, and Carroll County Family YMCA, all in Flora.

The toys and gifts are dispersed through area churches and Christmas basket programs.
