Comet staff report

The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) unveiled a new and improved Web site at www.doe.in.gov. Communicating a vision for K-12 education as a driving force for a vital Indiana is at the core of IDOE's mission to support the success of students and the state. The new online presence supports and expands these efforts.

Beginning with key Web pages - and improving others over time - the new site offers enhanced clarity, access and navigation. The new IDOE home page (www.doe.in.gov) creates a single entry point for all school data (www.doe.in.gov/schooldata) and includes a new online clearinghouse for Indiana's Academic Standards and their accompanying learning resources (www.doe.in.gov/standards).

Everyone is encouraged to visit the IDOE Web site in the coming weeks and let the webmaster know (webmaster@ doe.in.gov) when they experience difficulty finding something they found useful on the former site. The IDOE is committed to perpetually refining this online resource to better serve Indiana students, schools and communities.
