Junior Leaders

Carroll County 4-H Junior Leaders took a trip Nov. 17 to TV 18 in Lafayette. The group toured the newsroom where staff members edit stories, watched the 6 p.m. live show and watched them make commercials for the 11 p.m. show. They also practiced being newscasters in front of the green screen. Afterwards, the club went to Pizza Hut to eat. Ariel Randle organized the tour.

Junior Leaders brought story books for WIC for their service project.

The next meeting will be Dec. 8 at Monicals in Delphi. Those attending are asked to bring a gift for the Toy Store.

Horse & Pony Club

The Carroll County 4-H Horse & Pony Awards Banquet was held Nov. 9. After a carry-in dinner, awards and prizes were handed out. The top five award winners were: 1st Brittany Brown; 2nd Kate Schneckloth; 3rd Caleb Bowlin and Mekenzie Gear (tie); 4th Rachel Bowlin; and 5th Kylie Nape.
