Tom D. Landes, 59, of Deer Creek, died Nov. 12, 2008, at his residence.

Born Jan. 26, 1949, in Logansport, he was the son of Max and Winifred Pullen Landes. He graduated from Carroll High School in 1967.

Mr. Landes was employed at Modine Manufacturing and had formerly worked at Wilson Foods, both in Logansport.

He served in the National Guard from 1967 to 1973.

An avid motorcycle rider, he enjoyed cooking and spending time with his dog, Abby.

He was a member of the Flora First Brethren Church.

Surviving are his parents of Logansport; a brother, Dan Landes (wife: Diane) of Frankfort; two sisters, Judy Humbarger (husband: Gene) of Delphi and Toni Lhamon (husband: Howard) of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday at Baker Funeral Home, Flora. Pastor Dan Herendeen and Pastor Alvin Grumbling officiated. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
